International Observe the Moon Night at Flandrau Science Center

Celebrate International Observe the Moon Night on September 6, 2014 at the U of A's Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium. The event is from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This is a free event.

For the International Observe the Moon Night event there will be telescopes on the U of A Mall in front of Flandrau. The Flandrau Observatory will also be open for viewing.

The event will also include moon themed activities inside the Flandrau Science Center. There will also be a public talk about the moon given by Bill Harmann. Planetarium shows will also be shown for a fee ($7 for adults, $5 for ages 4 to 16, and free for under age 4).

  • 6:15pm, Bill Hartmann presentation
  • 7:00pm, Tucson Sky and Beyond Full Dome show
  • 8:00pm, Back to the Moon for Good Full Dome show
  • 9:00pm, Dark Side of the Moon laser music show
