Attendees waited in line for 1 ½ hours to get in to the world’s biggest builder show, taking place January 22-24, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Many guided tours were available for participants to sign up for at the International Builders Show (IBS). With the constant push to prepare our homes for the next generation and to keep our seniors in their homes longer, the Remodelers Aging-In-Place tour was very popular this year. It consisted of a group of exhibitors that specialize in products and services specific to the aging-in-place remodeling industry. Attendees gathered at pre-selected booths to learn more about new and upcoming aging-in-place products and services including bath and shower products, kitchen items, lifts, elevators, special lighting, doors, and many other new technology devices.
I was excited to help plan the Best Bath Systems display booth #C7336 at IBS. They featured the new ADL Spa, which fits great into the "Aging-In-Place" market. In addition, Best Bath showed off their new Great Grabz line of grab bars, and barrier free showers - all of which are perfect for seniors wanting to remain in their own homes longer!
There are so many helpful products and services out there for seniors. Industry shows like IBS are a good place to preview them. It is never too early to start planning. Aging-in-place benefits all members of the family no matter where you are in life. Start today!
