Bishop Designate Marcus D. McKnight and congregation of Apostolic Temple of Jesus Christ (AToJC) celebrated the 34th Annual International Believers Fellowship (IBF) at the Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel & Waterfront Conference Center in Portsmouth, VA. The 3-day event was themed “The Year of the Ingathering” and included ample time for fun and fellowship in addition to the powerful morning, afternoon and evening services attended by members from the IBF churches in Virginia, Canada, Ohio and New York.
The hotel staff, décor and waterfront view from every room made it a great location for pleasure, and spiritual regeneration and restoration. Main speakers included: Evangelist Tanya Tucker (AToJC, Jamaica, NY) speaking from 1 Samuel 1:6 on the theme, “Provoke Me, Push Me Into My Purpose!”; Overseer Kervy Brown (Greater Deliverance Temple, Danville, VA) speaking from Psalm 50:5 on the theme, “The Ingathering”; and Bishop Gary Bernard Coach (Destiny Christian Center, Long Island, NY) speaking from 2 Peter 1:2-3 on the theme, “God Has Given Us All Things.” Final remarks were given by IBF Chairman, Pastor Marcus D. McKnight.
The weekend of events also included: a youth discussion in tribute to Trayvon Martin themed, “Boys in the Hoodie,” liturgical dancers, psalmists, sight-seeing, ferry rides into Norfolk and a conference closing joint fellowship dinner at Golden Corral.
Congratulations to the AToJC Trip Coordinator, Theresa Watkins, and the 2013 IBF Executive Committee Members for a job well done. Arriving the day before and leaving the day after the convocation greatly contributed to a perfect uplifting experience spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically.
