International Artisan Fair comes to Pearl this weekend

Artisans from around the world will convene at the Pearl this weekend for the International Artisan Fair. The International Artisans Alliance is teaming up with local businesses and organizations to bring artisans from 14 countries to showcase their work. Most have come a long way to represent their art and their communities and ninety percent of the sales go to the artisans.

It all begins on Friday with a preview party and continues through the weekend with activities for everyone. This family friendly event is a great way to get some holiday shopping done and help out a non-profit organization.

Events:
Preview Sales Party
Friday December 13
6p.m. to 8:30p.m.
Guests will get a chance to take a first look at the Artisan’s work and enjoy food, drinks and music. Tickets are $75 in advance through Eventbrite or $85 at the door.

Saturday December 14
9:30p.m. to 5p.m.
The official start to the Artisan Fair takes place as the artisans make their way to the fair with a riverboat procession through the San Antonio River and are set to arrive at the Pearl by 9a.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and free for children under 16 years and will be available on site.

Children’s Day
Sunday December 15
12p.m. to 4p.m.
There will be activities for young visitors and tickets are $3 for adults and free for children under 16 years.
