Kevin is on fire now and is one of the most successful comedians of his time, but it hasn't always been that way. His own hometown was not supportive of him when he first started. His first gig was at The Laff House Comedy Club in Philadelphia under the name of Lil' Kev that turned out to be a flop. His career suffered a slow start. He was booed off stage several times, once even having a piece of chicken thrown at him. After those initial unsuccessful shows, Kevin began entering comedy competitions throughout Massachusetts, and his fortunes soon turned for the better.

It took time for Kevom to develop a unique comedic style. After an early period of attempting to imitate comedians like Chris Tucker, he found his own rhythm by using into his insecurities and life experiences to joke about. His father, Henry, a cocaine addict, was in and out of jail throughout most of his son's childhood. So Kevin used his natural ability to make people laugh as a coping mechanism to deal with his family struggles and to stay out of trouble.

In 2012, Hart won a Best Actor trophy at the BET Awards for his performance in the box-office hit movie "Think Like a Man." On Feb. 22, 2014, he won 2 NAACP Image Awards including, Entertainer of the Year, and Best Actor in a Comedy Series. Kevin currently stars as himself in the lead role of "Real Husbands of Hollywood." Hart hosted the 2012 Video Music Awards on MTV.

Kevin's concert specials and tours were big hits at the box office. His stand-up tour last year was the most successful comedy tour on Ticketmaster, with two shows in Los Angeles pulling $1.5 million in sales. Not to mention that his concert special "Laugh at My Pain," is the seventh most successful stand-up film of all time.

Kevin has many award winning comedies under his belt, and if you would check out his profile page you will see movies listed that he is starring in up through the next three years.

Kevin is extremely short especially for a man and a comedian. He is only 5’4,″ one of the shortest comedians working today. As fans know, his stature has provided the fuel for some of his most notable comedy bits. He has learned to make fun of his size and that makes money for him.

Before his career in comedy, Kevin worked as a shoe salesman. He wrote and starred in his own sitcom, "The Big House" that aired on ABC in 2004, but the show was canceled after only six episodes.

While he may not have the height to play basketball, he does have the skill. He was elected as MVP at the NBA Celebrity All-Star game despite the fact that he didn’t even make it to the last quarter for throwing a shoe.

Kevin is creative. He has a game called Little Jumpman available through iTunes. It is available for download on the iPod and iPad. The game is a simple platform jumping game where the objective is to jump higher and higher.
