Instruction for hard times indestructible is within you

You aren’t failing. It’s not about loss or success. Hard times are not a mistake you haven’t done something wrong to endure them. Life is full of peaks and valleys and using them to open up your wise free and compassionate heart. You have been granted a measure of difficulty and it is your time to figure it out. The most difficult thing for people to grasp on their life’s journey is that by sharing love and giving support to each other does not make you vulnerable. When things are hard it’s not fun, and you suffer over your suffering. You will live without health insurance and without a home. It will be a different way of living than you have done before but you will live. It’s time to tune into that.

Vulnerability is a tender and precious spot in your heart

It is vulnerability that people run away from. The world in which we live demands organization and structure and to be vulnerable is to go with the flow. The flow has no organization except by the divine will of God. To accept that there is something greater than you are can be frightening to some and others who wish to see themselves as in control are threatened by it and refuse it by disbelieving in it.

What is the way to respond to vulnerability

You may find in your life that all is well in your life and you think you have all of the answers, but your friend’s life is in the crapper. The next year the shoe is on the other foot. Learning to go with the flow and giving support to each other in times of need is all that is asked. To love and share in compassion. This is frightening and threatening also because it also asks us surrender a portion of our control to rely on other people to help when we need it. The world in which we live demands organization and structure and to be vulnerable is to go with the flow. Certain people think it unwise to help “lowly others” and the “others” should be helping themselves. But it is not every man for himself in this world as the organization and structure of the material demands it to be. It’s in the midst of difficulty that love and compassion come to us.

The difficulties bring you back to your center

Stop comparing yourself to others. You aren’t the one whose life seems to be hanging in the balance right now. The first thing is to remember who you are. You are not limited by your external circumstances. Hard times are hard. Grief and loss is hard, but you have to turn and face it and not look for refuge outside of those hard times for something or someone to make it all better but to pass courageously through it. That which is indestructible in within you. You may need all kinds of support from other people; spiritual is number one on the book, community help, government help, if you are not finding it where you are then you need to get out to look for it. You are learning how to help yourself so that you can help others when they come to you for it.

In some areas of the world they pray for suffering and hard times to fall on them

So that people may be granted a compassionate soul and to be able to find that indestructible part of themselves more quickly so they can help others through it. Just stop and feel yourself. Your spirit can’t be touched by external circumstances. There is still a place in us that is loving and compassionate and you need to tune into that.

Honor the fire you need to walk through

It’s hard. There’s a lot of grief you need to pass through to get to that nature of being as if you are the Jesus or God. The suffering becomes the light in your heart to truly learn. Your worst enemy can’t hurt you as much as your own thoughts. Don’t take them personally. Even Mark Twain once said, “my life is full of terrible misfortune. Most of them never happened.”

This is life, one learning experience after another

Know that is just thought or this is worry and pay attention to the space in between. You can pick all the flowers but you can’t stop the spring. You will find your way to great understanding, to peace and heart, and your life will be opened to others. Turn off the damn television if it hasn’t already been taken away from you, nagging and filling your head full of material nonsense. Make of yourself a light.
