Southeastern Wisconsin runners will button up a brisk race in Milwaukee’s historic Third Ward on Saturday, October 19, to benefit a children’s clothing drive.
The 5K race and two-mile walk , hosted by InStep Physical Therapy and Running Center, begin at 6 p.m. Participants donate quality children’s coats or pay a $10 suggested donations to support the Coats for Kids Foundation.
Both runs begin at InStep’s Third Ward store, located at 403 East Buffalo Street, in Milwaukee. These events are not timed or scored, and routes are open to traffic during the run and walk.
From May to November, InStep is cosponsoring social fun run/walk events to raise money for a variety of local charities. The October 19 event is part of that series, titled Run for a Reason.
Remaining Run for a Reason runs include:
- Saturday, November 16 – InStep and Hunger Task Force
- Saturday, November 23 – Instep and FM 102.1 Kramp & Adler’s Kids Wish Toy Drive
