Sucker Punch made a guest-post on the official Playstation Blog today announcing that they are developing a new title in the “inFAMOUS” franchise that will, once again, be an exclusive game for a Sony console. Entitled, “inFAMOUS: Second Son” will release as a Playstation 4 exclusive and looks like the latest entry will take the lead away from Cole, the protagonist of the first to “inFAMOUS” games. However, in the video showed for the game it appeared that the electric lines that Cole used to zip around the cityscape are still present in “inFAMOUS: Second Son,” so perhaps the electrical powered hero will make an appearance yet.
Sucker Punch showed also showed off the game earlier today during the Playstation Meeting 2013, in which the Playstation 4 was revealed to the world for the first time. From the reveal, it looks like the game is going to follow a hero with fire-based powers this time around.
The story of “inFAMOUS: Second Son” revolves around a citizens who begin to stand up against a government who watches them too much and where civil liberties and privacy are becoming a thing of the past. The twist is that these rebellious citizens also happen to have super powers. The game will truly be a next-generation “inFAMOUS” game since it will be releasing on the Playstation 4.
