On Sunday, March 10, 2013 InSpirit Community will host “The Spirituality of Kites” at 6 pm. If the weather works in their favor, the community will meet at the Senior Center at 2225 Tyvola Road.
Those joining InSpirit Community for this event are invited to bring musical instruments if they would like to do so. As this is a family friendly gathering, children and grandchildren are welcome.
The following details were shared by Gaye Dimick in a recent Facebook communication:
This Sunday, March 10, from 5-6 pm our InSpirit Community will host a celebration of this month's theme "The Spirituality of Kites." We will have a special segment of the service that is just for the children and we will create a prayer kite. At 6pm, (this is the first day of daylight savings time) we will fly our kite, (weather permitting.) This is a celebration where we are really encouraging folks to bring their children. Please come, bring your children, your grandchildren or the child in you. As is customary, we will celebrate with music, story, poetry and more. I will also share a short reflection on "The Spirituality of Kites and the Darkness and the Light."
