Inspiring Young Women to Become Nerds

(Sorry fellas, this ones for the ladies). Aspirations in Computing recognizes young women in high school for their computing-related achievements and interests and generates visibility for women’s participation in computing-related pursuits.

Last year, Aspirations in Computing held an open competition for to any U.S. high-school-level female (grades 9-12).

National award-winners received prizes including:
$500 in cash
A laptop computer
An engraved award (for both the student and her school)
An expenses-paid trip to the national Award ceremony (for the student and her parent/guardian) this week; March 15, 2014
