According to reports on Jan. 25, 2013, a 17-year-old teenager, Jake Evans wrote in his confession, which was released on Thursday that he drew idea of killing his mom and sister from the movie remake of "Helloween."
Jake Evans who has been tried for murdering his 15-year-old sister Mallory and mom Jami in their Aledo home has written a four page confession to police hours after he was arrested.
In the confession, Evans wrote that he watched the remake of "Helloween" thrice that week before slaying two members of his family. The confession is now being introduced in the case as evidence.
Remake of "Helloween", a 2007 movie by Rob Zombie, is about a boy who kills many people when is 10-years-old and again kills several others 15 years later.
Evans wrote in the confession that he initially planned to kill his mom and sister with a knife but later changed the plan and killed them with a .22 revolver that he stole from his grandfather.
