Every now and then, Facebook friends post pictures that have inspirational sayings or cartoons. Datebooks and calendars sometimes have a quote or motto that is worth keeping. These and other forms of inspiration can be used to make magnets.
Use scraps of scrapbooking paper or used greeting cards for the background and frame. Cut a piece that is slightly larger than the picture. Glue the layers together with double-stick tape, or the glide on adhesive used in scrapbooking.
Laminate the paper with extra-wide clear packing tape. I recommend Scotch brand tape for laminating small pictures like this because the plastic is thicker than the store brand. It doesn’t wrinkle or crease as much, making it easier to use. Clear contact paper or laminate sheets can also be used.
Recycle an advertising magnet or the magnet from an old calendar or shopping list on the back. Glue it to the back of the picture with double-stick tape, or the type of adhesive used in scrapbooking.
In just a few minutes, a passing thought will become an inspiration that will “stick around.”
