With ample time to plan next year’s spring break, EDM event powerhouse, Insomniac, announced December 13 its plans to partner with international promoting organization OCESA to debut the first ever, Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Mexico City at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez (racetrack) in Mexico City, Mexico on March 15-16, 2014.
EDC, known for its signature audiovisuals, theatrics, carnival rides, and state-of-the-art stage and production design, has been growing in popularity since the festival’s birth 18 years ago and has declared its intentions to further expand internationally. In a press release, Pasquale Rotella, founder and creator of Insomniac stated,
"After the success of our first international endeavor this summer with EDC London, fans from around the world expressed an interest in experiencing EDC in their home towns. We listened, and we're excited to announce EDC Mexico City. The fans have been so passionate about their desire for a festival there and I'm really looking forward to joining them next March when we will all celebrate music, art and life. Insomniac and our partners are working hard to plan an event that will be the truly unique and creative festival experience that fans look forward to."

Whether it’s at its flagship event in Las Vegas in June or the numerous other US cities it now travels to, Insomniac's Electric Daisy Carnival brings fans an experience like no other and showcases the best in electronic dance music has to offer.
OCESA, one of the most influential promoters in the world, has promoted international artists: U2, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney and many more to the Mexican market. OCESA has also worked with numerous notable artists in the electronic dance music industry including: Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, Calvin Harris and deadmau5, among others. This will be OCESA's first partnership ever with Insomniac. In response to the company's partnership with Electric Daisy Carnival, producer Leizer Guss stated,
