Socks have gotten a bad rap for a long time - and some men continue to perpetuate the trend of white tube socks with almost everything, or wearing socks that have clearly seen better days and are in need of a one-way ticket out of the closet.
Fortunately, there has been a growing movement among the stylish set to add a bit of color to their wardrobe through brightly colored socks. One of the companies seeking to help brighten up your wardrobe through some new socks is Nice Laundry.
The brand seeks to overhaul every guy's sock drawer for $99 from basic solids to fun patterns. Nice Laundry began on Kickstarter where they crowdsourced four times their original funding goal, and were deemed "The Warby Parker of Socks" by Mashable.
Nice Laundry sells their socks in sets of six for $39, all in themed collection that have names such as Chief, Dreamer, Ladies Man, Exec and so on. To get the entire collection of 18 pairs of socks, you simply add the Dreamer, Exec, and Wild Child sets to your cart and you are good to go.
The company also offers a unique sock recycling program for its customers in the USA: every Nice Laundry order is eligible for a prepaid shipping label. Simply send them your old socks in the re-usable mailer your order came in and they will take care of the rest. The company cites estimates that there will be 35 billion pounds of textile waste generated in the US alone by 2019, and they feel that they can help do something about it.
