The Last Of Us Remastered is undoubtedly one of the best PlayStation 4 games you can find for the system today, and one of the features Naughty Dog added to make it even more incredible is photo mode. In photo mode, players are able to capture their favorite moments at just about anytime they want.
It's a truly fitting feature for The Last Of Us Remastered, especially since there are so many instances during the course of the game that you want to take a picture of and share with others. Photo mode is actually a surprisingly deep feature and wasn't just a add-in with no thought.
In photo mode, players can adjust many, many things in any given screen they take such as: field of view, depth of field, color filter, frame, vignette, film grain and brightness. These are more options for the feature than we were expecting, without a doubt.
The field of view adjustment allows players to zoom in or out of a given photo down to 20.0 degrees and up to 74.9 degrees. This provides players with plenty of range to capture the shot they want.
The Last Of Us Remastered photo mode also has depth of field, which does quite a number of things. The distance where the picture is being focused on can be adjusted so you have the right people or objects in clear view. It is a feature you can turn on or off. Additionally, you can adjust the width in on what is drawn into focus.
Then there is the color filter that allows players to straight up change the color of a photo. You'll have choices of Black & White, Western, Royal, Vintage, Summer, Aqua, Sunset, Infected, Winter and Noire. You can also adjust the intensity of the setting you choose, embellishing upon your choice one way or the other.
If you're someone who wants to place a frame around your screen, you can choose from frames like Black, White, Rounded, Classic CRT, Film Bars, Logo Bars, Grunge, Torn Edge, Instant Film, Sharesnap Cool, Sharesnap Friends and Sharesnap Love.
Next, players can utilize the vignette feature that increases the size of the area that will be blacked out or not. It allows just a small, centered portion of the photo to be shown or all of it. When you adjust the intensity of the vignette, that allows you to balance out the size you have chosen.
Film grain allows for focused on items to more grainy in display, and that will depend on the style you're looking for. Finally, the brightness adjustment is pretty obvious as to what it does. It's a very, very handy feature when it comes to bringing more light out of a dark photo or dimming the setting in a brighter photo. While there are some situations when players cannot use photo mode, it's mostly accessible for the entire game.
The Last Of Us Remastered has some very classy, fitting touches provided by Naughty Dog. Things like photo mode were created with plenty of thought in mind. Players will be very, very pleased with this added, new feature when they pickup their copy of The Last Of Us Remastered. It is available now on PS4.
