Inside the author: Lauren's Bite

Lauren is a perky newlywed with a pension for “Pocket Edward” and a flair for fancy words. Her coining of the word Pocket Edward has been replicated by many bloggers, as has her style of blogging. In Lauren concocts a barbell for Edward using a Q-tip and tinfoil. An excerpt reads, “After lifting weights, Pocket Edward begged for me to go on a run with him. No, I didn't ride on his back. That would have been freakin insane. My nose is longer than his body.”

How did your Twilight obsession begin?
My friend had told me about some series she was obsessed with about vampire and werewolves. I made fun of her mercilessly swearing to never read them. But then I got bored...and read them in 3 days! I was...OBSESSED, and have been ever since.

How has Lauren's Bite been beneficial for your marriage, or has it been?
Hmm, Lauren's Bite hasn't been beneficial for my marriage. But it hasn't hurt it either. Blogging has its pros and cons. With the time I take for blogging, I could be doing stuff with my husband, and that makes me sad. But, he also knows I love it, so he is really supportive and would never let me give it up. Knowing he is that supportive, adds another ounce of twitterpation to my heart

How does Tedward feel about your blogging- he seems like such a good sport!
Ted is a classic "eye roller". He likes to joke around with his friends about his twilight obsessed wife, but it "ain't no thang!". He thinks it's awesome that I have power to connect people together from across the world just because we all share a love for a book series. He has no problems with the blogging :)

What gave you the inspiration for the Pocket Edward posts?
I gotta Holla! at my girls at Letters To Rob! UC and Moon are the masterminds behind taking pictures with the little dude. All I did was come up with the name "Pocket Edward". And then I decided to make it more of an adventure series. That's how it was born :)

You have a wide variety of topics for your posts- what are your favorites posts to write about?
My favorite posts are my "Lauren Speaks Out" posts. My motto is, if you can't poke fun at something you love, then you are too high strung. Ok. That isn't my motto...totally just made that one up on the stop, but srsly....making fun of Twilight is my favorite thing ever. Mostly just because I can...since I am such a closet fangirl.

How long does it take you to put together a Pocket Edward post- between writing and taking pics?
Oh my goodness. Too long. Seriously, probably like 6 hours. It is a pain to put one of those adventures together. It used to be super fun to create an adventure, but after everyone started doing it, it kinda sucked the fun out of it for me. I will eventually do another one, but I don't know when.

What is your favorite Lauren's Bite post of all time and why?
Oh my goodness. It has to be Realistic Expectations. It's aimed to all of the crazies that truly think they need a boyfriend EXACTLY like Edward. Dude...it's never gonna happen. I hope everyone gets a chance to read that post :)
