Inside look: 'Eureka' star, executive producer talks season four, 'Warehouse 13'

"Eureka" is beginning its fourth season this Friday on Syfy, and on Wednesday series star Colin Ferguson (who plays Sheriff Jack Carter) and executive producer Jaime Paglia sat down to talk about the progress of the series.

Early on, Paglia proclaimed that this season would have a "renewed life" and that they were tremendously excited for diehard fans to see the final product.

Colin then talked about what makes Carter a fun fit for the community.

"The character has a good moral compass ... in a town that is full of people who are so bright, that he focuses more on the details. He is a Marshall, so he is good at what he does."

As for Carter's love life, the guys teased that a certain love interest may be back -- and "decisions have to be made".

Paglia also talked about a future crossover with "Warehouse 13":

"We were at Comic-Con last year when I ran into the executive producer, and I said 'we could have a crossover' ... we joked around about it for a while but then the network said this was something they would like to do. It worked out -- we had the right timing."
