Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy have decided to end their 2½ marriage, and Reality TV World reported on Dec. 28 that the couple “apparently separated due to ongoing issues in their marriage that could not be resolved with time or effort."
A source close to Frankel said:
“There was no final straw, no one cheated. Their marriage just wasn’t working. They really tried, but they grew apart. She [Bethenny] is very upset."
Frankel met Jason Hoppy in November 2008 and became engaged 11 months later. Their wedding in March 2010 was televised on the reality show “Bethenny Getting Married?” The couple wed when Bethenny was seven months pregnant with their daughter Bryn, who was born in May 2010.
Reportedly friends of Jason Hoppy and Bethenny Frankel thought they rushed into the marriage, Frankel and Hoppy seemed happy about getting to know each other during the first year of their marriage. But sources say that Bethenny and Jason began experiencing problems almost immediately. Allegedly the couple bickered often and made Hoppy made comments that made it seem he was not happy in the marriage.
“My balls [were] cut off two years ago,” Hoppy allegedly said in 2012. Jason also made comments on camera during their reality show “Bethenny Ever After” saying, “I’m walking on eggshells at home,” and “As a man, I never thought I’d be in a situation where my wife, financially, was this successful.
