Insatiable Harpy is a new black uncommon "Magic: The Gathering" creature card from Wizards of the Coast's expert expansion set "Theros" that'll leave an opponent trembling in fear when playing a limited game. This creature can buy you valuable life and time in order to turn a duel around in your favor.
Insatiable Harpy - 2BB
Creature - Harpy (Uncommon)
Flying, lifelink
Gold coin, battered helmet, broken wrist bone--all have the same value int he eyes of a harpy.
2/2
Insatiable Harpy isn't nearly as efficient and aggressive compared to Vampire Nighthawk, however it still remains a powerful threat in limited even if it costs one colorless mana more and loses both deathtouch and a point of toughness. That's because flying is very hard to deal with and lifelink can set up a buffer zone while you durdle around with blockers on the ground. Insatiable Harpy pairs well with Boon of Erebos, allowing this scary threat to live through a Magma Jet and deal even more damage to your opponent. Common bestow creatures such as Cavern Lampad, or even better yet an Observant Alseid, can transform Insatiable Harpy into an even more fearsome threat. Because there's two black mana in its casting cost, Insatiable Harpy is a great creature to pump up your devotion to black for Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Abhorrent Overlord, and Erebos, God of the Dead.
You'll find Insatiable Harpy in the "Devotion to Darkness" intro pack.
How will you use Insatiable Harpy?
