Castalia Outdoors has introduced several new fishing products that should be of interest to Florida anglers.  Sharkfin reels, with their tangle-free line management system, head the list, followed by Easy Net, Liquid Steel Leaders, Liquid Casting Braid, and Trick Fisch lures
Sharkfin Reels
The Sharkfin’s patented spool face is designed to allow you to cast farther, reduce line stress, and prevent tangles. Less time dealing with these common spinning reel issues equals more time catching fish! As fishing line quickly exits a typical round spool, it naturally maintains contact with the spool’s edge for most of the cast. When the line leaves the Sharkfin spool it touches only the tip of each “fin,” greatly reducing friction. With less line friction you’ll enjoy longer more accurate casts. And with the Sharkfin, when slack line is inadvertently wound onto the spool, it is retained by the fins, often resulting in the line skipping one or two of the fins along the face of the spool. This “catch” eliminates any twist or looping of slack line, and this excess line is freely released on the next cast without incident.
Easy Net
The Easy Net Folding landing net is for use on boats, shoreline or docks – a wide net facing easily scoops up hooked fish. It can be opened with flick of a wrist and features a lightweight but extra strong aluminum handle with rubber grip. Two maximum handle lengths are available--60- or 90-inch. The handle easily adjusts and locks to desired length. They are very durable and lightweight, folding for convenient storage. The net mesh contains no knots which is more fish-friendly and the silicone netting helps shed water and reduce storage odors. The aluminum handle is specially treated to resist scratching and solidly built to lift big fish!
Liquid Steel Leader
Anglers can quickly and easily tie on the pre-rigged Liquid Steel Leader to provide the ultimate in strength and durability while taking advantage of the extra stealth and increased lure action afforded by this ultra-thin steel leader material. No twisting, crimping or clamping needed.  The ultra-thin diameter makes it more stealthy in the water (compared to standard steel leader) yet providing the strength and durability you need. And the lower stretch (compared to fluorocarbon leader) allows for just the right sensitivity and quick hooksets.  Featuring German-engineered 1:19 braided steel, Liquid Leaders are  available in single 15-, 19- and 27-inch lengths, and 8-, 12-, 17-, 24- and 30-lb test strengths. Diameters are .20-, .25-, .30-, .35- and .40-mm., respectively. Options include various pre-rigged tackle configurations
 Liquid Casting Braid
A proprietary manufacturing process interlocks super line strands through multiple layers of liquid laminate, creating the perfect blend of line roundness, smoothness and strength. The resulting smooth finish and ultra-small diameter of Liquid Casting Braid allow for longer, more accurate casts and excellent lure presentation. And the low stretch allows for just the right finesse sensitivity and quick hooksets. Liquid Casting Braid is available in Hi-Vis and Lo-Vis Green, 125 and 330 yard spools, 8 – 40 lb. test. Great for both spinning and baitcasting applications.
Trick Fisch Lures
This new lure line features a selection of seven fish-catching colors and 3-, 4-, 5- and 6-inch sizes. Finely crafted for a realistic look to catch a predator’s attention. There is a glass rattle chamber located in each action tail, and the matching jig head notches into the body and completes the illusion.
