Inman Grove Subway in Edison reports Flatizzas a big hit

For a limited time, Subway is offering "Flatizzas," a different type of personal-sized pizza that is being advertised as "crispy, cheesy and totally edgy."

The Flatizza substitutes a traditional pizza crust with a six-inch square of Subway’s signature flatbread. The Flatizza comes in four classical varieties: Cheese, veggie, pepperoni and spicy Italian. Each variety also includes marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. Extra toppings, like chicken, are available for an additional charge.

According to Ankur Patel, the manager of the Inman Grove Subway in Edison, Flatizzas are a big hit. He claims the veggie and the spicy Italian toppings are most popular, and he believes the flatbread crust is also a big attraction.

“People like the flatbread crust because it is healthier than regular pizza crust,” he said.

Flatizzas are available for a limited time only. A survey of several Central New Jersey Subways indicates that Flatizzas are being sold 2 for $5, but price, as well as availability, varies.

Don’t forget to check out Subway’s Featured Values for March. The six-inch featured sub is low-fat, Black Forest ham, while the footlong sub is meatball marinara with mozzarella cheese.

The Inman Grove Subway is located at 1113 Inman Avenue in the Inman Grove Shopping Center in Edison, New Jersey.
