The fourth annual Inland Empire Corset run kicked into gear at Skip Fordyce Harley-Davidson in Riverside, registration started at 9:00a.m. By 8:00 a.m. there were already people waiting as the tables and banners were being put up. The run was put together to celebrate those who have had breast cancer and to raise money for breast cancer awareness and ladies on motorcycles and wearing corsets certainly raises awareness.
The ladies were showing up in all kinds of corsets, tutus and colorful outfits even some of the men showed up in corsets or similar themed attire. I was even laced into a faux black leather corset by the two ladies working the merchandise people, and I did a get a few smiles and some strange looks as I rode along with the other riders.
After rolling the yahtzee dice for the first time at Skip Fordyce Harley-Davidson the riders left the dealership and made their way to the Thompson Brewing Company on Harrison Avenue in Riverside. The next stop on the ride took us through canyons and side roads south to the Lake Elsinore area to McVicker Park where the third chance of rolling the dice took place.
After taking a break, the next stop was Winchester Farms on Winchester Road.
The final stop and the place for food, drink and the vendors was at Big League Dreams in Perris, California.
Here the final chance to get a good yahtzee score and the band Cougrzz Rock were playing rock and roll favorites, a nicely shaded tent and table area was conveniently located in the center of the field.
The vendors included Law Tigers, Route 66 Cigars, Oragami Owl, Papparazzi, Moon Seams to name a few.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the ride and the weather even cooled off for the day. The day concluded with the corset contest 20 people lined up and five finalist were picked by the ladies of Courgarzz Rock acting as judges. Then the winners of the bike show were announced.
It looked like most of the attendees had a good time and many do this ride every year and like me will be back next year.
