Tonight’s episode of “Ink Master” was titled “Eyes of the Beholder,” with Dave Navarro the host and judge, with the two expert judges, Oliver Peck and Chris Nunez. The artists are vying for the $100,000 prize and the most prestigious title of “Ink Master” as the field narrows down to six.
With ten tattoo artists already sent home, the rest of the field consists of: Jason Clay Dunn, Jime Litwalk, Joey Hamilton, Joshua Hibbard, Kyle Dunbar and Tatu Baby.
For the flash challenge, they were taken to Coney Island Freak Show and their challenge was to tattoo eyelids with the word of the episode; accuracy. The human canvases were ready to have their eyelids tattooed and the artists were nervous about this particular challenge. As the artists completed their tattoos, the worst ones were Joshua and Joey who both failed on the accuracy, while Jason and Jime did a great job. The best was Jime and he got to assign the human canvases to the rest of the group with vengeance in his heart.
For the elimination tattoo, the artists had to accurately place each drop of ink exactly where it belonged because the challenge was to do portraits. Along with the human canvas, the person getting the tattoo had not only a photo of the person they wanted tattooed on their body, but the actual person there too. One woman wanted a tattoo of Dave Navarro and Jime took that one for himself. Dave seemed more nervous than Jime or the canvas.
As the tattoos are starting to look like people, the time is running out. The guest judge is Corey Miller, owner of Six Feet Under Tattoo in Upland, Calif. When the artists faced the judges, Jason did not score well in accuracy. Joey made the portrait angry looking, not like the portrait. Kyle did not do a flattering tattoo, but nailed the exact face of the woman, wrinkles and all. Jime did not do a great job on Dave’s portrait. Tatu Baby did a good job on her tattoo, as did Joshua’s tattoo and Tatu Baby had the best of the group.
The three artists called back were Kyle, Jason and Jime, and the artist sent home was Jason on this episode of "Ink Master" because his tattoo was the least accurate of the group.
