A new trailer for "Injustice: Gods Among Us" was released by NetherRealm Studios and WB Games on Wednesday that does a better job of introducing the story behind the upcoming PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U fighting game.
"Injustice: Gods Among Us" takes place in an alternate DC Comics universe that plays "What If" with Joker responsible for not only the deaths of millions but doing it in a way that causes Superman, Wonder Woman and other heroes to become tyrants in order to protect humanity from itself.
This leads to Batman joining forces with both heroes and villains in an insurgency to end Superman's totalitarian rule.
You can check out the story trailer for "Injustice: Gods Among Us" in our video gallery. The game is due out on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U on April 16, 2013. Some gameplay footage and cut-scenes are included in the trailer.
The first three issues of the "Injustice: Gods Among Us" prequel comic that explains how this alternate version of the DC Universe came to be can be picked up from your local comic stand or at Comixology.
