Injury report: Justin Smith is limited, but expected to play

Defensive lineman Justin Smith will be expected to play his first game since suffering his triceps injury in Week 15 against the New England Patriots. He was limited in practice for the entire week with a brace on his left arm.

Harbaugh said that doctors will have the final say in whether Smith will play on Saturday, but he said he has seen improvement every day.

"The player knows his body the best, but the doctors have final decision," Harbaugh said on Justin Smith's injury. "They’re not going to just let a guy go out and play if he can’t protect himself, or could severely make it worse than what it already is. That’s a general rule of thumb. God willing and the creek don’t rise, he’s going to play."

CB Tarell Brown (shoulder), S Dashon Goldson (shoulder), LB Clark Haggans (shoulder), RB Bruce Miller (shoulder), LB Aldon Smith (shoulder) and DT Will Tukuafu (neck) were limited in practice.

LB Navorro Bowman (shoulder), TE Garrett Celek (foot), LB Tavares Gooden (ribs), G Mike Iupati (shoulder), CB Carlos Rogers (knee) and LB Patrick Willis (shoulder) took full participation in practice this week.

For the Packers, WR Randall Cobb (illness) and WR Jordy Nelson (ankle) were limited in practice while WR Jarrett Boykin (ankle) didn't participate.

TE Jermichael Finley (hamstring), RB Alex Green (knee), LB Clay Matthews (knee), LB Dezman Moses (hamstring) and RB James Starks (knee) took full participation.
