On Feb. 12 Lady Gaga announced that she will have to postpone four upcoming tour dates due to a case of synovitis (severe inflammation of joints). The dates postponed for her "Born This Way Ball" headlining tour include those in the cities of Chicago, Detroit, and Hamilton, Ontario. As of now, no other performances are expected to be postponed.
On her official website Lady Gaga wrote:
I am completely devastated and heartsick. I've been hiding this injury and pain from my staff for a month, praying it would heal, but after last night’s performance I could not walk. To the fans in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, I hope you can forgive me as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself right now. I would do anything for you. I will hopefully heal as soon as possible and be at 500% again, which is what you deserve.
The North American leg of the tour began on Jan. 11 in Vancouver, British Columbia and ends on March 16 in Miami. Lady Gaga's "Born This Way Ball" tour is in support of her second studio album, "Born This Way". The album was released on May 23, 2011 and it debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
Those with tickets to the now postponed tour dates have two options; you can obtain a refund at the point of purchase, or you can hold onto your ticket for the rescheduled date.
