Youtube sensation. Arthur Boorman Paratrooper 47, disabled in the Gulf war, too many jumps took there toll on the man’s back and knees. He gained weight. He couldn’t walk or run he was in such pain when he left the service, exercise seemed impossible. His weight 297 pounds was making matters worse for his ailing body. He was told by doctors he would never walk again without the aid of a brace and canes.
Inspirational transformation
He began seeking a yoga instructor to work with him, most of which turned him away. Diamond Dallas Page, a former pro wrestler wondered how he could help a man with such disability become whole again. Diamond Dalls didn’t back down from the challenge. He wanted to help Boorman. He was overweight, he had leg braces, and crunches to walk on.
He can walk and he can run, Arthur can do the splits
“He gave me back my life, I was going to die. I thought that state was as good as it gets and I was at the end of my life,” beemed Arthur. The transformation wasn’t immediate and any one could have surely given up at what seemed impossible to begin with, and a long painful process.
Diamond Dallas’s yoga isn’t your typical yoga class. Real men can eat quiche and real men can do yoga without all the fluff and puff. But the movements are the same and just as effective. As you can see, it is testimony to the effectiveness of yoga and movement, as well as inspirational testimony to what you can do if you just believe in you and set your mind to your goal.
Clap your hands three times if you believe
Arthur didn’t give up on his resolution to get healthy and be better at life again after just a few days or weeks. Talk is cheap and anyone can certainly talk about what they might do. Arthur proved a life fully lived is possible, no matter how bad your circumstances or your experiences may have been. You can do it if you only try and especially if you believe in yourself.
