On September 10, a man discovered the five-month-old pit bull mix in a Boston churchyard. He brought the limping puppy to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals–Angell Animal Medical Center (MSPCA-Angell).
There it was determined that the puppy had been hit by a car. The puppy received a new name, 'Ramona,' and was fitted with a leg cast. MSPCA-Angell states she is now "on the road to recovery."
