A 5-week-old Maine Coon kitten named Austin was found a few weeks ago by an animal rescue volunteer named Lori after being brutally attached by a raccoon. He is currently being cared for at Luv-N-Care Animal Hospital in Longwood, Fla. The young kitten went into immediate shock after the attack and is currently suffering from a fractured jaw that requires an operation. He has also been diagnosed with numerous other feline immune system issues that require him to have a feeding tube.
Austin's feeding tube and critical care have accumulated an estimated cost of over $1,000. Although the rescue organization has given all the funds it can spare, it still cannot afford Austin's long term care. An estimated five million stray kittens and cats die every year due to natural and unnatural causes (Humane Society A.L.L.); please do not let Austin become just a number. This young kitten deserves a healthy recovery and pleasant life!
The hospital is accepting donations of all amounts to fund Austin's medical bills. Every bit counts towards building this young feline's life. Please call the hospital to find out how to donate funds towards Austin's ongoing medical care; the address and phone number are listed below. Thank you for taking the time to make a difference in Austin's life!
