Initial impressions of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 had a demo that was released and can be found in the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow collection. It has a redeem code that can be used for the purpose of downloading it since it is done in digital download format. It is to be known as a preview of the game that is due to be released in 2014 pending any development setbacks. It had been previewed already and been looked at.

The initial start of the game is rather promising. It is unique in that you play as Dracula, whom you may remember as Gabriel Belmont in the first Lords of Shadow game. His powers are there. In a way, it is like with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night at the beginning with Alucard before meeting Death. From that perspective, it’s like a tribute to it and it’s not the only item.

His story is a bit different than what anyone would expect. If you recall from the ending of the first Lords of Shadow game, you know what his objective is all about. Satan is going to be back in this game and is the main villain. Along the way, he has to deal with not only Satan’s forces but also dealing with the Brotherhood of Light, whom may be deceived in thinking Dracula is evil, and also the Belmont clan as there is another one coming.

The dialog has some lines that were best heard from Symphony of the Night. The voice acting felt perfect for it as it was really well done. Everyone felt like they were in place. Ranging from Dracula all the way to the brotherhood soldiers so in that respect, it was really well done.

After completing the demo, you are treated to a trailer and also the release of Lords of Shadow 2 for the Xbox 360. It is almost like watching a movie based on how well it was done. It ends with him facing off with Alucard. The only way to find out what happens in the game is to wait for its inevitable release. Unless something happens in the game development process, it is set to release in February 2014.

Final impression is that it has quite the potential to be even better than the original Lords of Shadow game. You can get this actually if you buy Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Collection that’s available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as far as consoles go. It is recommended for hardcore Castlevania fans.
