Info 101: Movieclips 23: There's something creepy in the dark skies

"DARK SKIES" opens Feb. 22, 2013. Stars: Keri Russell, Josh Hamilton, Dakota Gayo, Kadan Rockett. Directed by Scott Charles Stewart ("Priest", "Legion").

Daniel (Hamilton) and Lacey Barrett (Russell) are a married couple who witness an escalating series of events involving their family and their safe peaceful home quickly unravels. When they figure out the truth they must take things into their own hands to solve the mystery.

Alien abduction is hardly a new topic but if the trailer is any indicator, the topic will get a treatment unlike any previous film. The imagery in those two minutes of footage sets up the film nicely as what can only be described as creepy.

Heading up the cast is Keri Russell, best known for her lead role in the WB Network television series 'Felicity'. Along with her obvious talents for dramatic acting, Ms. Russell is the real life mother of two young children which obviously serves as a motivator for this role.

Hamilton, the son of actor Dan Hamilton, also has a long history of dramatic roles. Coupled with Ms. Russell, he should be the perfect casting choice to nail this role.
