"BLENDED" from Warner Brothers opens Fri., May 23, 2014.
STARRING: Drew Barrymore, Adam Sandler, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Kevin Nealon, Jessica Lowe, Terry Crews, Dan Patrick and Shaquille O'Neal.
DIRECTOR: Frank Coraci ("Murdered Innocence", "The Wedding Singer", "The Water Boy", "Zookeeper").
SYNOPSIS: After a disastrous blind date, single parents Lauren (Barrymore) and Jim (Sandler) agree on only one thing--they never want to see each other again. But when they sign up separately for a fabulous vacation with their kids, they are all stuck sharing a suite at a luxurious African safari resort for a week.
There's usually nothing positive to be said about a film that has Adam Sandler in it. That's not true this time. It will be really fun to see this pile of garbage be ruthlessly trashed by "X-Men: Days of Future Past". Other than that, this is just typical Sandler slug-vomit. It's not funny. He's not funny. Adding Drew Barrymore to the cast doesn't make it funny. The people at Warner Brothers and every other studio needs to learn that Sandler is not funny. If he is spotted approaching your doors, lock them and run away out the back.
Of course, they won't do that and we'll all have to suffer through more of this crud till Sandler dies or is kidnapped by aliens. Sadly, they seem to have better taste than that as well. Know why? The aliens know that Sandler isn't funny...or charming...or good looking. He's like an ex-wife--a pain in the posterior that takes too long to leave.
