Cascade Game Foundry's latest simulation game Infinite Scuba can help you become a real certified scuba diver. The company has teamed up with PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors), to "allow people to explore the underwater world from the comfort of their own home."
This "Indiana-Jones-meets-Jacques Cousteau" video game allows players to completely immerse themselves underwater without the need of an oxygen or decompression tank. "Infinite Scuba" allows players to "do what real divers do—explore real historical dive sites, identify wildlife, take photos, and find artifacts—while learning about history and dive science."
The game also allows users to earn real PADI specialty scuba diving certifications, like Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, Underwater Photographer and Underwater Naturalist.
"Infinite Scuba" looks relaxing. One of our favorite pastimes is exploring the countryside in "The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim," and the prospect of underwater adventures is enticing. We'd love to see a compelling storyline about a marine biologist searching for new species in the great blue open that has to battle with perils like severe storms and bloodthirsty sharks or giant squid developed for Xbox One or PlayStation 4. If the anticipation for "No Man's Sky" is any indication, there's certainly a market for unusual sims.
"Infinite Scuba" is currently available on PC and MAC for $9.99.
