‘inFamous: Second Son’ official Japanese website hints at online features

The official Japanese website for inFamous: Second Son launched on Thursday to promote the upcoming Playstation 4 exclusive. As reported by Dual Shockers on Jan 23, the game’s summary has the title listed to have online supported content. Many are taking this to mean that the game may include some form of multiplayer mode.

However, the summary also lists inFamous: Second Son to support only one player. As the listing does come from an official website for the game, it is like that it is true that the game will have online support. Unfortunately for those hoping this to mean that the game will feature multiplayer, “online support” could mean a number of different thing and the fact that the number of players is also capped at one by the same summary suggests otherwise.

An informed theory for what online support might be included in Second Son is that the upcoming third installment of the series may once again allow for players to create user-generated content. USG was implemented in inFamous 2 which gave gamers in-game tools to build their own missions to play and share with the community.

Sucker Punch's inFamous: Second Son will release exclusively for the Playstation 4 on Mar 21. The third installment of the series places fans once again in the role of a super-powered human. This time around, however, players will control newcomer Delsin who possess new fire-based abilities.
