A few concerns regarding “inFamous: Second Son” have been discussed by Sucker Punch Productions. According to a report from Gamepur on Feb. 14, the development studio was asked about the gameplay length of the PS4 exclusive video game. A representative replied by saying that it should be similar to the first two games of the series. You can find the response below:

Similar to the past inFAMOUS games. Open world game so lots to do other than the main story narrative.

The main stories of “inFamous” and “inFamous 2” took around 12 to 15 hours the first time through. However, players can choose to play between a good or evil character, which dramatically changes the story and gameplay. The video games also feature side missions along with collectibles that should extend the playtime.

Matthijs De Smedt also provided an explanation in regards to the lack of dynamic shadows in “inFamous: Second Son.” He revealed that the development team had to make some tradeoffs in the graphics department. You can check out some new screens, along with a few older shots, from the open-world action-adventure video game in the slideshow to the left of this article. The comments from the graphics programmer can be viewed below:

I’d like to make every light cast shadows : ). But there’s always tradeoffs in games, and there’s a lot of streetlights. Also a surprising amount of our night-time lighting is indirect or from neon. Streetlights contribution is relatively small.

“inFamous: Second Son” is running natively at 1080p at 30 frames per second on the PS4. The sequel is on pace to launch exclusively for Sony’s next-generation system on March 18th in the United States.
