‘inFamous: Second Son’ and ‘Titanfall’ release dates confirmed by developers

The release dates for “inFamous: Second Son” and “Titanfall” has been confirmed by the developers of each product. According to a report from El33tonline on Feb. 27, Respawn Entertainment and Sucker Punch Productions disclosed that their respective projects have gone “gold.”

As a result, the retail discs of “inFamous: Second Son” and “Titanfall” will go into production for shipping. Additional changes are going to be made through the releases of patches on the Playstation Network and Xbox Live.

“inFamous: Second Son” is the big exclusive release for the PS4 during the first half of 2014. The open-world action-adventure video game features a new main character with a fresh batch of superhero powers that include neon and smoke abilities. The third main installment of the “inFamous” series will be released on March 21st in the North American region.

Microsoft is banking heavily on “Titanfall” in regards to the Xbox One. Although the same title is coming to the PC as well, the multiplayer-only first-person shooter will be heavily advertised as a next-generation console exclusive for Microsoft’s new platform when it launches on March 11th. The Xbox 360 port is going to come out two weeks later on March 25th.

The PS4 currently has a healthily lead over the Xbox One. Sony recently confirmed that their new console sold 5.3 million units as of Feb. 8th. Microsoft has only disclosed that their product has sold 3 million units as of 2013.
