inFamous was first released in North America on May 26, 2009. According to Sony, the Playstation 3 exclusive game has sold 1.2 million units worldwide so far as of the end of October.

That is quite an impressive achievement considering that inFamous is a new intellectual property that was released over the summer, usually a slow period for video game sales. Sony also announced that the game will drop to $39.99. Furthermore, the Gigawatt Blades Super Power DLC will be free to download on the Playstation Store starting from December 10th.
