Indy Goes Green for St. Patty's Day

Green will be the theme this weekend in Indianapolis as St. Patrick’s Day rolls around. Even the canal will be sporting the hue in celebration of all this Irish. So put on your best “Kiss Me I’m Irish” t-shirt and head downtown for lots of entertainment.

Start things off at 9:00AM, Saturday, March 15, with some family fun at the Shamrock Run and Walk around Monument Circle. Join a host of other runners and walkers for a trip through the ‘Irish Hills’ and back around the circle to support the Indy Sports Foundation.

Continue the fun (sans kids and anyone younger than 21) with the 2nd annual St. Patty’s Day Pub Crawl - one year just wasn’t enough for this event! Start at Tiki Bob’s and “crawl” your way down Meridian street visiting establishments such as Taps and Dolls, Subterra Lounge, 36 E Irish Pub, and Blu, among others. Last year this even boasted 1,600 people and they’ve added even more to the agenda: prizes, bagpipes and leprechauns (oh my!). Not to mention your chance to win your very own pot of gold by participating in an Irish-themed photo scavenger hunt.

Don’t forget, all day long the Blarney Bash will be going strong! Enjoy beer tents and live music on The Georgia Street Boardwalk from noon until 10PM. Admission is free and attendees must be 21 years of age or older.
