In a few weeks fall will arrive in Nashville bringing with it cooler temperatures and the official end of summer. For tennis enthusiasts, fall signals the end to their favorite outdoor sport as they place their tennis rackets in storage until late spring, and begin searching for another form of exercise to take the place tennis. Tennis is excellent for cardiovascular health and muscle toning and provides a competitive outlet not found in most forms of exercise.
But the Nashville tennis scene has grown over recent years and numerous indoor tennis courts are available for both league play and individual matches. So even in the winter you can still get out and work on your game. Here’s a short list of Nashville venues with indoor tennis courts.
The YMCA of Middle Tennessee, with over 20 locations, has several facilities with indoor courts located in and around the Nashville area. Whether you live in Brentwood or Donelson, the YMCA has superb indoor courts you can rent for a small fee. They usually charge an hourly rate.
