IndieCade 2013 will host 36 games finalists for their sixth annual festival, organizers announced today. All 36 titles will be playable at the event, along with 120 other games. Attendees can find these games at the IndieCade, Nintendo, Ouya, PlayStation and Oculus Rift exhibits.
Some of this year’s finalists include Kentucky Route Zero: An adventure title about a secret highway in the caves of Kentucky, Nidhogg: A head-to-head acrobatic fencing game where players battle for the honor - believe it or not - to eaten by a giant worm, and Spaceteam: A co-op party title where players, using smart phones, “shout technobabble” towards one another until their ships explode, to name a few.
Like previous IndieCades, not all entrants are video games. Kulak is a dice game where 4 or 5 players battle for land, set in early 20th century Russia. Of the 36 finalists, Kulak is the only non-digital title.
IndieCade will commence in Culver City, CA, Saturday - Sunday, October 5th-6th of this year.
