So much for the lazy days of summer. My music discovery tickers have been stuck in overdrive. It's like I can't stop myself from finding heaps and heaps of aural treasure. So, arghhh!, me musical mateys. It delights me to share a few of these gold nuggets with you today.
Did somebody say gold? Because everybody should get golden fo' sho.' This song was part of NBC's Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics Promo, but the shimmery electro-anthem feels more like a summer song to me. I don't know too much about Parade of Lights, an indie band from Las Vegas. But based on this tune alone, I expect big things from these guys.
Much like Parade of Lights, there's not a whole lot of info out there about this brand-new indie band. Res has only released a few tracks, but the interwebz is starting to catch on. After listening to this psychedelic track, with its engaging vocals and strummy guitar, it's easy to see why.
Life couldn't exist without stars. Which makes sense, because this past week, I don't think I could've existed with "Stars." I've been playing the hypnotic electro track nonstop. If you too find the Suits a suitable (wokka wokka wokka) listening choice -- and let's face it, you should -- check out their eight-track album Navy on BandCamp. You can grab it for free.
I hate to see you go, but I love to hear you leave. Well, if your name is "Catalin Josan" and you're playing me this song. Or if your name is "computer" and you're playing me Catalin Josan.
