Indie Music Mondays: Animal Games

See also

Animal Games took form in late 2007 when college friends Juan Pablo Grado (bass) and Frank Tobias (lead guitar) sought to achieve a brand of sonic catharsis while playing tribute to their collective influences from the 1950's, 70's punk scene, and 80's new wave. Three years later they solidified their sound when lead vocalist/guitarist Chris Buxton-Smith crossed paths with the group. The rest is LA indie music history in the making.

The group seizes the cultural backgrounds influences of several of its members – Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, and El Salvador – to uniquely shape its brand of indie rock. The band is celebrating their big time record release party this Saturday, February 23rd at Los Globos in Echo Park.
