The 2011 Indie Craft Parade (ICP) is returning to Greenville! Last year marked the first annual showing of the event, and with an overwhelming turnout.

Indie Craft Parade 2011

Indie Craft Parade, sponsored by Etsy, will be September 9-11, 2011 at the Hugenot Mill downtown at 101 W. Broad. If you're unfamiliar with the event, it's a festival of handmade art, celebrating the talents of local artisans, crafters, designers and musicians. Last year saw everything from crocheted baby clothing to sculpture art to screenprinted stationary to fashion accessories, with local restaurants and musicians keeping patrons' appetites for food and tunes sated.

While the fair is a wonderful chance to purchase unique gifts and goodies for any occasion, it's also a perfect opportunity to support local business, encourage local artists, and sustain the growing trend of buying handmade American goods. If you or someone you know would be interested showcasing your work at the Indie Craft Parade, you're in luck. Submissions are now being accepted for entry into the event to be able to sell your wares.

All interested participants must submit an application and four photos of their work along with a non-refundable $20 application fee. Applications will be accepted until midnight EST on June 19, 2011. ICP is a juried event, which means a panel of judges will decide on your acceptance. Entries will be accepted in the following categories: 2D Fine Art, 3D Fine Art, Fiber Art, Wearables, Paper Goods, Everything Else (toys, home goods, garden, pet). For full entry details, or to apply, click here.

With last year's event hosting 77 vendors and over 4,000 guests, they have extended the event to span 3 days this year, with VIP and ticketholders admitted on Friday, and everyone else admitted for free on Saturday and Sunday.
