Indianapolis Home Show

The annual Home Show is coming to the Indiana State Fairgrounds January 29th - February 7th. The theme of this year's show is "bring fresh ideas home." You'll be able to see hot trends, new products, cool colors, top experts, and great ideas for your home.

You'll be able to tour the centerpiece home, built by Davis Building Group. The home is a fully constructed 2,600 square foot, decorated and landscaped home, built entirely inside Exposition Hall. In the West Pavilion you'll be able to tour a lake cottage, complete with lake, built by Smart Tech Homes.

Enjoy food and wine sampling from the Chef's Academy on the Belgard Outdoor Living Stage. Expert's from the Chef's Academy will help you cook up some delectable dishes. Don't forget to sample Indiana-made wines at the Wine Village, showcasing wineries from across Indiana. You can taste many unique and delicious wines.

If you're interested in a new door, visit the ReStore of Habitat for Humanity. This year they have partnered with Indianapolis Public Schools to produce 30 painted doors. Each will be on display and for sale, with proceeds going to the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis.

Many celebrities are scheduled to appear at this year's show. Matt Fox and Shari Hiller from HGTV's "Room by Room" will be appearing. Scheduled to appear, February 6th, is Paul DiMeo of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." Paul will share details from behind the scenes and give money-saving tips. Also scheduled to appear is Sarah the Thrifty Decor Chick. She will show attendees simple, inexpensive ways to decorate your home, with everything from bringing warmth with fabric to unique transformations with molding. Hockey mom, turned business entrepreneur, is back to share her unique way of repurposing junk to suit any decor.

The Indiana Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) creates a Ty Pennington inspired "room" set up, and decked out in the latest, edgy Ty-like fashion.
