A 28-year veteran teacher in Lake Station, Indiana is now under a police investigation and an investigation by the school for allegedly having what students described as a “meltdown” during a class.
The teacher was suspended after he allegedly wrote a threatening message on a chalkboard last Friday that read:
A) You are idiots!!!
B) The guns are loaded!!!
C) Care to try me????
A student saw the message, took a photo of it, and posted it on Facebook, according to CBS Chicago.
According to WLS in Chicago, Lake Station police met with students and school officials at the Edison-Junior-Senior High School on Mar. 4, 2013 to begin the investigation, as Superintendent Dan DeHaven stated that the suspended teacher would not be there on that day and would not be returning pending the investigations.
This story should immediately remind people of the NRA's highly controversial plan to arm more good guys, because after seeing this ridiculous stunt, one common thought could easily be so much for arming teachers and janitors.
This illustrates precisely what so many opponents of arming teachers, janitors and maybe even bus drivers are afraid of, because at some point some inadequately trained teacher or janitor is going to have a bad day, which leaves the door open for the kinds of threats displayed by this suspended Indiana teacher to become a reality.
Let's face it. Sometimes the differentiation between a good guy with a gun and a bad guy with a gun can become extremely complicated to recognize depending on the circumstances of the environment.
If it was as clear-cut as the NRA would like people to believe that it is, our society would be a lot less complicated than it is, but that certainly is not the case. Unfortunately for society, all so-called good guys don’t wear white hats, and all so-called bad guys don’t wear black hats, like it was in the old, western movies!
Maybe the NRA will send in Eddie the Eagle to sing, rap, and dance with the students so they will stop annoying the teachers in Indiana.
And after that, Eddie can do another sing-along with the teachers about how good guys/teachers with guns don't use a chalkboard to invite students to, like a scene from the movie Dirty Harry, make their day!
