The Houston Chronicle reported yesterday on a woman from Johnson County who allegedly attacked an 18-year-old who was in her mobile home trailer on Saturday.

Bonita Lynn Vela, 35, from Franklin, was arrested on preliminary charges of battery with a deadly weapon and criminal confinement with a deadly weapon. Vela reportedly held the man in her trailer against his will after using a fork to stab his penis and a box cutter to slice it.

The unnamed teen is the boyfriend of one of Vela’s older daughters. The attack occurred after Vela became enraged after she thought that the 18-year-old had sexually molested her 2-year-old son.

The man however was adamant that she was lying. According to the police report, Vela admitted that her suspicions were aroused only after she had smoked marijuana and possible ingested other drugs as well.

The boyfriend said Vela held him for three and a half hours, stating that Vela was “out of control” and had called friends of hers to come over and “take him out.” The man said Vela threatened to tie him up to a tree in the yard and shoot him in the head with his body left “to be eaten by the animals.”

Vela allegedly made the man drop his pants and told him that he could leave if he allowed her to “cut his penis.”

“I’m going to scar you so that you have to look at it every time you have sex,” Vela reportedly said, according to the man’s statement. She told him to “choose between your life and your penis.”

Vela is being held in the Johnson County Jail on $28,000 bond.
