According to a report from Sports.NDTV.com on Jan 8, 2013, Indian opener Virender Sehwag was dropped from the Indian squad for the ODI series against England and C Pujara was included in his place.
The first of the five match ODI series will be played at Rajkot on Friday. See live scorecard here.
The squad was selected for the first three ODIs only, all the other members of the squad that played the T20 series against Pakistan were retained.
Sehwag's axe was expected as he scored just 238 runs in his last 10 matches with a single half-century at an average of 23.8.

Fast bowler Zaheer Khan and spinner Harbhajan Singh were also ignored for the series. Pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shami Ahmed and Ashok Dinda were retained in the side for their solid performance against Pakistan.
R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Amit Mishra are the three spinners included in the squad.
