The Hindu reported on March 17, 2013, that Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s triple strike on the fourth day of the 3rd Test against Australia secured India’s position in the game.

Australians managed to bowl out the host team with some early wickets at the start of the day, but notable performances from batsmen Murali Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli pushed India ahead of the visitors.
Dhawan impressed with 187, while Vijay cracked his second consecutive century with 153. Kohli contributed 67 runs and remained not out.

It was a bowler’s day with total 13 wickets falling on the fourth day of the match.
Australia’s Peter Siddle grabbed five wickets for 71 runs, whereas Kumar snapped three wickets to raise hopes on the Indian side. Kumar got opener David Warner, Ed Conan and Steven Smith.
At the end of the day, Phillips Hughes and Nathan Lyon were at stumps as it seems that the 3rd Test is now heading for an engrossing and exciting finish.
India leads the series with 2-0 after winning the 1st and 2nd Test in Chennai and Hyderabad.
