Independent Actors Theatre in Columbia will be performing the 2005 Pulitzer Prize drama "Doubt: A Parable" December 3, 4 and 5th.

"Doubt" written by John Patrick Shanley is a play set in 1964 in the Bronx at St. Nicholas church school.
Sister Aloysius, principal of the school, suspects Father Flynn of having a relationship with an alter boy. Father Flynn denies all charges and Sister Aloysius must rely on the discipline of the church and the Catholic hierarchy to stabilize the situation.

Sister Aloysius eventually admits to a fellow Sister that she has "grave doubts" leaving the audience wondering exactly what she is doubting, being it her faith in God or the church, or her certainty of Father Flynns guilt.

Performances will be held at Missouri United Methodist in the McMurray chapel. Doors open at 7:00pm and curtain is at 7:30pm.

Tickets are $8 and available for purchase online. You can also purchase your tickets at the door but keep in mind that it's cash only.
