Fireworks will light up the Chicago skyline over the Fourth of July weekend in honor of Independence Day. The city skyline makes a magnificent backdrop for the dramatic colors of the fireworks displays. There will be a Independence Day Eve Fireworks spectacular on July 3 at Taste of Chicago in Grant Park and Fireworks at Navy Pier on July 4.

Taste of Chicago. Thursday, July 3
There will be pre fireworks entertainment by the 85th Army Band at 7:30 pm in Grant Park at the Petrillo Music Shell. The 20 minute fireworks display will be accompanied by soundtracks from 101.9 The MIX.
Navy Pier Fireworks
Navy Pier will host the Fourth of July Fireworks on Chicago's beautiful Lake Michigan, Saturday, July 4 at 9:00 p.m. Navy Pier is the place to celebrate Independence Day! The July 4th extended fireworks show will light up the Lake Michigan sky to a heartfelt patriotic soundtrack. For more information on FREE fireworks all summer long at Navy Pier, every Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. and Fridays at 10:15 p.m. through Labor Day, visit the Navy Pier website at www.navypier.com.
The Fireworks and Taste of Chicago are popular event in the City of Chicago, so the Mayor’s Office of Special Events recommends using public transportation to avoid traffic tie ups.
